I have spent more than twenty years travelling extensively through the Far East, I visited China in particular, home of tea. These journeys have aroused my interest in the most popular drink in the world.
The history of tea, its rites and its wonderful gardens have deeply fascinated me, so much so that I decided to set up Biotea, a selection of valuable teas originated from cultivations where tea is still grown using traditional methods.
Our main aim is to select only teas grown in areas where no pesticides and no synthetic chemicals whatsoever are used.
I visit these cultivations personally and I meet tea producers, this enables me to monitor periodically the production myself so as to guarantee top quality products, teas that are free from any sort of pollutant.
Our aim- which we consider as a mission – is to get people to know the benefits and the healing powers of green tea and to promote the consumption of top quality tea.
We keep in touch with researchers working for the most important universities in the world and keep up to date with regards to the recent studies and researches. These have confirmed the great beneficial powers of tea for our health and fitness.
The tea plant is a receptacle of unique perfumes, fragrances and tastes. My stays in the Far East have taught me to appreciate this plant and to understand the importance of the rite of tea. This is the message we try to convey at each tasting.
Thanks to its magic and its peace tea is an ancient popular, always fashionable drink today’s frantic world with its hectic rhythms.
I hope that more and more people can experience the fascinating and unique world of tea; in particular the healing and preventative powers of this extraordinary plant for our health.
