SIAL 2018 - Paris Oct 21-25

Salone del Gusto 2018 - Turin Sep 20-24
Terra Madre Salone del Gusto is the biggest international event dedicated to food.
The 12th edition, organized in collaboration with the Region of Piedmont and City of Turin, will be held from September 20 to 24, 2018, in Turin, Italy.
Terra Madre Salone del Gusto is a biennial Slow Food event, which brings together international producers, communities, chefs, and visitors in the celebration of good, clean and fair food. This year it will be held at Lingotto Pavilion, Piazza Castello and various other locations throughout Turin.
The event includes an international market, where producers selected based on the Slow Food philosophy will be present to share their products and stories. Hundreds of Presidia and food communities will attend, and for five days will bring the world’s food agrobiodiversity to the city and discuss shared challenges and solutions.
Other areas will include an enoteca, street food area, and thematic spaces focusing on: Bees and Insects, Food and Health, Seeds, Slow Meat and Slow Fish.
Numerous activities will be offered during these days including forums and conferences presenting influential figures who will offer multiple perspectives on how food can change the world, for better or for worse. There will also be Workshops and Cooking Schools, will be presented by chefs conscious that we cannot separate pleasure from responsibility towards producers and who use creativity to promote their local areas.

Salone del Gusto and Terra Madre

The 2016 Edition in late September is in the heart of Turin! It's official: new venues, new dates and a small novelty even in its name for the most important event organized by Slow Food along with Piedmont region and the city of Turin, which in 2016 celebrates 20 years. The appointment with the next edition ofTerra Madre-Salone del Gusto is in the Centre of Turin from 22 to September 26, 2016. Decision shared by Slow Food, the Piedmont region and City Turin for bringing the general public about issues related to food – from production to distribution and consumption – so important in the lives of each of us. The event is anticipated by a month and does not take place within a trade fair, but involves some of the most beautiful and important places in Turin: the Valentino Park with the medieval village, the real heart of the appointment and historical framework of international events, the Royal Palace, Teatro Carignano, the circle of readers and La Reggia di Venaria Reale.

Salone del Gusto and Terra Madre 2014 Edition

After participating for the first time in 2012, this year we decided to participate in the Salone del Gusto to present our new products and introduce one of the world's oldest rites, that of tea. The event presents itself first of all as a food market, a place of meeting and aggregation complemented by heavy doses of gastronomic culture and ethical and social awareness. But it is also a market model, which sets the scene for five days, inside the pavilions of Lingotto Fiere. The positive forces of good, clean and fair food engaged in practice in the world, all year, consciously or not, the Slow Food philosophy. In 2012, for the first time, Salone del Gusto and Terra Madre combined: one big event that completes a track route since 2004 – the year Terra Madre was born, the world network of food communities – and, together, tell the extraordinary diversity of any continent, giving voice to those who cultivate, raise, and transforms its products.

Thanks to the union of the two events, for the first time representatives from food communities can meet and interview between market stalls, alongside the Presidia and historical exhibitors of the salon, tasting their product in the same exhibition area or participating in a workshop of taste. Also, to hear their thoughts and testimonials you can attend lectures, open to the public, which, like the previous editions, face Earth workshops themes dear to the network, from biodiversity to land rights, the fight against GMO and animals welfare. This year the Salone del Gusto and Terra Madre begin with a large preview: the opening ceremony of the event will be held in Turin on the evening of Wednesday, October 24. Don't miss it!
