Vitamins and Minerals

Tea contains high levels of Vitamin C. Surprisingly, this vitamin is normally destroyed through heat. In Tea, however, it is present in huge amounts even after boiling; this is due to the protective action of catechins on vitamin C. Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant and boosts the immune system.

Green Tea is also an outstanding source of mineral salts, such as potassium (which regulates the heart rhythm), zinc (which boosts the immune system), calcium, magnesium and fluoride (which strengthens bones and teeth) and manganese (it helps the metabolism of sugars and fats; it also fixes calcium in bones and prevents osteoporosis).
