The Benefits of Pu-Erh and Mao Feng

Pu-Erh, the Tea of origins, is considered to be the “Elixir of Long Life” by the Chinese for its extraordinary healing properties. Drunk for thousands of years, Pu-Erh Tea is a traditional Chinese medicine and is a true ally of our health for the prevention and treatment of many diseases. It is traditionally made with the leaves of Camellia Sinensis tree, variety Assamica, native to Yunnan, southwestern China, bordering Myanmar, Laos and Vietnam. The production process of this Tea is significantly different from all other types. In fact, it undergoes a particular fermentation conducive to special proliferation microorganisms that confer extraordinary healing properties. The latest research shows the effectiveness of this Tea in reducing LDL cholesterol, triglycerides and blood sugar, in combating hypertension, overweight and aging, and facilitate digestion by regularizing the intestinal flora. It counteracts stomach acidity and has a positive effect in cases of gastroesophageal reflux. It is considered "The Blood Sweeper" because it helps eliminate powerful toxins. It has been confirmed that Pu Erh Tea has remarkable anti sclerosis properties reducing the risk of dangerous formation of atherosclerotic plaques, and also has strong anti-scarring effects. The ability of the components of this tea was also tested, and especially to inhibit an enzyme complex called Fatty Acid Synthase (FAS), which is thought to be causing not only obesity but also certain kinds of cancers (high levelsof FAS have been found in many types of cancer) This suggests that Pu-Erh Tea can act as anticancer agent and in the same way can be of great help as a regulator of body weight, especially when is a part of a diet rich in vegetable fibers and accompanied by a regular exercise program.

Why drink Alternately

You can assert that Pu-Erh Tea has significant curative and protective properties marked throughout the gastrointestinal tract due to microorganisms and Catechins (antioxidants), contained therein. Pu-Erh Tea's antioxidants are undergoing a transformation during the fermentation and detail for this differ in quantity and type in some cases from those contained in Green Tea. Green Tea contains a higher percentage of "fresh" antioxidants (unfermented) and does not contain any microorganisms present in Pu-Erh Tea. The main organic components of these two are Tea flavonoids and more specifically Catechins and their derivatives. The most important are: Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), Gallic acid (GA), (+)-catechin © epicatechin (EC), gallocatechin (GC), epigallocatechin (EGC), gallocatechin gallate (GCG), epicatechin gallate (ECG), quercetin, kaempferol, myricetin, proanthocyanidins, caffeine, theobromine, and many more. They are all powerful antioxidants with numerous beneficial properties and protective properties. For these reasons, drunk alternately during the day, you benefit from all the beneficial properties of these two Teas, and in synergy, it can greatly help losing weight, facilitating digestion, reducing the risk of contracting cancer, maintaining the level of blood sugar and cholesterol under control, and help us keep our cardio-circulatory system protected from risks of heart attack and strokes. Not to forget the extraordinary antioxidant properties at the cellular level throughout our bodies, a regulatory real barrier against free radicals, considered to be the cause of all degenerative diseases. That is why it is important to place them in our daily diet, so these valuable substances are always present in our body, helping our immune system to stay healthy and to protect us from external attacks of viruses, bacteria and chemical pollutants. Of course all these beneficial properties depend directly on the quality of the Tea as it is cultivated and processed. A poor quality can seriously compromise the beneficial effects and even be hazardous to our health.

Our Pu-Erh Tea

Pu-Erh Tea is native to Yunnan in China. It is cultivated in this area for about four thousand years and is definitely the most mysterious of all Tea varieties in China. It has a pronounced aroma and an earthy flavor and is one of the few Teas that improves with aging. Like wine, Pu Erh can be aged for years and decades and its price can be expensive . Our Pu-Erh comes from a small producer friend from Simao county (City of Pu-Erh), who grows and works according to the concept of nature and respect to men and environment without the use of any synthetic chemicals and pesticides. Category: Black Tea (Red Tea) Origin: China Taste: Earth, underbrush with a persistent aftertaste. Color: Dark red. Our Mao Feng Green Tea

When to Drink

We recommend drinking Pu-Erh hot during and after meals, and Mao Feng at breakfast and during the day. At least 4 cups a day of each. A 1 liter thermos of hot Pu-Erh brought to work is a great way to drink throughout the whole day. Drink whenever you feel heavy, when you've exaggerated with food or alcohol, or just when you feel the need. If you have a headache try a cup of Pu-Erh instead of taking a pill, it might change your mind about the drug you were about to take. Drink as much as you want. Their purifying and protective actions will make you feel fit and full of energy. Both Pu-Erh and Mao Feng have a low caffeine content and are usually well tolerated when drunk in the evening. Give it a try anyway, starting with a small amount on the first night to test your tolerance to caffeine, and then adjust accordingly. If they were to give the problems of insomnia, drink the last cup at dinner but not after.
