Medicinal mushrooms have been part of traditional Chinese medicine for millennia. In China and almost all of the East, these mushrooms are used as food and as natural supplements to combat multiple diseases, to increase physical and mental energy and maintain a healthy balance. Mushrooms are naturally rich in antioxidants and other beneficial compounds. To ensure the bioavailability of these compounds and create the potency necessary for therapeutic efficacy, our mushrooms are subjected to a modern high-tech extraction process that uses water and alcohol as natural solvents, in this way different types of polysaccharides (including different types of glucans), terpenes – triterpenes – and other powerful antioxidants are isolated and concentrated. We at BioTea always seek excellence in the products we deal with, product quality and safety are our top priorities. As for our Teas, all batches of our Mushrooms are analyzed in Italian laboratories before importation to demonstrate the complete absence of chemical residues and safety on heavy metals that are all well below the limits imposed by the European community. Being habitual consumers of these mushrooms and convinced of their beneficial properties, we decided to add to the world of our fabulous Tea also that of medicinal mushrooms.
