Puerh Tea is native to Yunnan in China. It is cultivated in this area for about four thousand years and is definitely the most mysterious of all tea varieties in China. It has a pronounced aroma and an earthy flavor and is one of the few tea that improves with aging. Like wine if you can find aged decades, with very high costs. Our Puerh comes from a small producer friend from Simao county (City of Puerh), who grows and works according to the concept of nature and respect to men and environment without the use of any chemicals.

Ingredients: Tea Leaves

Preparation: It is recommended to use spring water. It is recommended to wash the leaves and the use of earthenware teapots.

Temperature: 90°C - 95°C.

Infusion time: 20 seconds.

Number of infusions: Up to 3-4 infusions.

Quantity: One mini tea cake for a 500/600ml teapot.

Tips: For its quality is suggested during meals and in the evening hours. In order not to alter the beneficial properties and the original flavor it is not recommended to add milk, lemon, sugar or honey.

Leaf washing*

leaf washing is a very fast first infusion (about 5 seconds) of the leaves using water at the same temperature as recommended for infusions. The infusion obtained is thrown away, and after this step we proceed with the real infusions following the recommended times.

This step is used to prepare the leaves for real infusions, the cells pass from the dehydrated closed state to the wet open state, and are thus ready to best release all the beneficial substances and aromas. In this step you also discharge some of the caffeine and bitter substances, making the liqueur softer and gentler on the palate.
