Yi Xing teapots are wonderful artifacts from the province of Kiangsu, on the western shore of Lake T'ai-Hu in China. They are made ​​of terracotta, by skilled artisans, using a mix of local clay that was once cooked and became of extraordinary hardness and strength. Yi Xing teapots and cups are small (so they seem like they're made ​​for a dollhouse) and are traditionally used during the ceremony of the Gong Fu Cha, which is the Chinese Tea ceremony. The teapots, signed almost always, are greatly appreciated and collected by the scholars. Some teapots can reach prices of several thousand Euros.
