More info

the cultivar of this unique Tea is native to Taiwan where Oriental Beauty is considered one of the most famous Oolongs. Our Oriental Beauty is grown in the Yunnan Mountains of China at an altitude of 2000 meters by a small producer friend who wanted to introduce this famous cultivar to his land famous for Puerh Tea. The result is a Tea full of unique aromas and flavors.

The origin of its particular flavor (flowery and sweet) derives from an insect that by piercing the fresh leaves to feed on the sap, stimulates the self-defense of the plant that produces particular defensive substances that give the Tea its characteristic aroma.

In Taiwan the same cultivar is grown at lower altitudes to achieve the best quality, in Yunnan on the contrary, the high altitude offers just as good results.
