The main difference in the production of GABA Oolong Tea is the processing of the leaves in a nitrogen-rich and oxygen-free environment during the oxidation phase. This method, developed in Japan, converts the glutamic acid naturally present in tea leaves into gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA).

Our GABA Oolong is produced in the northwest of Yunnan, more precisely in the volcanic area of Baoshan-Tengchong, a renowned tourist destination, famous for its abundant natural resources and historical culture. It boasts a magnificent volcanic landscape, hot springs, wetlands, and a variety of ethnic cultures, particularly the Tengchong volcanic hot sea scenic area and the ancient city of Hwasun, which attract a large number of tourists. 

The volcanic soil, rich in valuable minerals, provides optimal nourishment for the tea plant, and not only that, this area is also famous for coffee production. Our Gaba Oolong is produced from a Taiwan cultivar renowned for the production of the famous ORIENTAL BEAUTY OOLONG, which here in Yunnan finds ideal conditions to give its best. Our small producer grows the tea without the use of pesticides or chemicals, using only natural fertilizers and repellents. The result is a tea of the highest quality, rich in beneficial components, completely natural, and free from chemical residues.
